Fusion

A blend of groove/rock/dance/funk music to the area top clubs.

VOCALS: Denise Levasseur
Denise Levasseur, lead singer and front person for Fusion is originally from Tiverton, RI. Denise studied voice in Rhode Island, Connecticut, and New York City. She toured the US and Europe covering an array of styles. Jazz, rock, and a variety of ethnic-tinged music all became her own, but her abiding first love remained Pop. One key to Denise's success is the mentoring of former CBS Records platinum award winning producer, Paul Leak. His informal lessons in songwriting, interpretation, performing, and the realities of the music biz have obviously left their mark. Denise won “song of the year” on MP3.com with her original hit single titled “Losing My Control” off her debut CD and at one point was averaging 15,000 downloads a day.

VOCALS: Sarah Clark
Sarah born with natural talent is known for her deep, full bodied, soulful voice and comes from a musical family. She was also influenced by her father a well known local bass player. Sarah has played with many other local bands and is well known in the musician community. Sarah was with Fusion in 2016 when the band decided to add another female singer along with Denise Levassuer. Sarah left for 2 years and returned in Spring of 2018.

DRUMS/VOCALS: Gary Forbes
Gary is from the New Haven area and currently resides in Clinton. He has a resume that includes being the drummer of Red Light, Derick and The Fun bags, and many other local and some national acts and has been featured in Modern Drummer Magazine.

LEAD GUITAR/VOCALS: Eddie Aledia. Eddie is a local legendary guitarist from Southeastern CT. Fusion is fortunate to have such an amazing player and all around great guy to join in 2015. Eddie plays guitar with such grace and feel, he always seems to know where the music is going and can handle just about any style. He is modest, but when you come see him play you will be in for a treat! He has shared the stage with too many names to list here.

KEYBOARDS/GUITAR/VOCALS: Tony Walstra
Tony grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio where he played in local bands as a teenager. He eventually relocated to New England in his early 20’s and has been a fixture in the area music scene ever since. Tony has a background in recording and producing and was a featured producer in MIX magazine for his work, but his first love is playing music live.

BASS/VOCALS:
Mike Golembeski: Enough said! Everyone knows Mike G! He is probably one of the most sought-after bass players in the region and too many accolades to list here. Just google him!

Swingin' with The Shiny Lapel Trio

The Shiny Lapel Trio is a tiny little band with a great big sound! Keeping it simple with just three rockin' instruments, and a big ol' slice of velvety smooth vocals, these guys tear up a dance floor like a carpenter late for lunch. Whether they're rippin' through a classic Louis Prima standard, or makin' ya cry with a Nat King Cole ballad, the instruments grind along full throttle while the vocals float across the top as thick as a layer of gritty bar room smoke. Oh, they schwing baby and it ain't for the faint at heart!

The Social has delicious cocktails, 50 beers on tap and a huge hard wood dance floor! If you want a band that'll make your feet hurt from dancing and your voice hoarse from singing along, then you need to see what the Shiny Lapels are all about: Pure, sweaty, sinful swingin' fun!

Chris Mackay & The Toneshifters

Chris MacKay & the ToneShifters was formed in the fall of 2009. Chris started his career playing percussion with New London CT new wave act Newjohnny 5 in the early days of the blossoming New London, CT music scene. The band attracted national attention and soon shared bills with many national acts touring the East Coast and down South performing at such venues as C.B.G.B.’s, the infamous Studio 54 and the Hartford Civic Center.

Chris went on to front a series of bands playing original music covering everything from hard rock, blues, funk, rockabilly and alt rock and gained a wealth of experience in many different genres. In 2009 Chris was looking to form a blues /roots band where he could combine different genres into a cohesive mix of originals and obscure covers. Working with musicians from many different musical backgrounds it soon took on a life of its own when the diversity and individual tastes of the band members began to mesh into a tasty stew of danceable roots music.

The band has shared bills with Dr John, Johnny Winter,James Montgomery, Christine Ohlman, Sean Chambers, Nick Moss & the Fliptops, Mike Zito and many other top blues acts.
